and a glass dome over the new underground supermarket in front of it

A touching monument in memory of the millions of Ukrainians who died because of the artificially-stimulated starvation caused by the Communist government's subjugation of private farmers between 1931 and 1933

(The large building in the background, now the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was originally built in the 1930's as the Headquarters of the Ukrainian Communist Party)
